A statement signed by the Commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Abdulrahman Iliasu said "in the exercise of the power conferred by the chiefs appointment and deposition law cap 20 of the applicable law of Kwara State and on the advice of the traditional chiefs committee hereby approved the appointment of Alhaji Busari Alabi Alausa from the Ayegbeni ruling house as the 11th Magaji Are of Ilorin."
