Muslims Urged to Imbibe the Teachings of the Holy Quran
The Provost Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, (CAILS) Doctor Imam Semi Arikewuyo, gave the charge at Ramadan lecture, titled "The Muslims and the Society in Nigeria: Challenges, Problem and Prospects" organized by Mustapha Akanbi Foundation.
Arikewuyo who was represented by a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Shariah and Common Law CAILS, Mallam Adam Jamiu said Islam was a complete way of life, which comprehensively encompasses the totality of aspect of human life and providing the necessary guidance on how best to perform it.
He said one of the problems confronting Muslims was lack of proper understanding of Islam, adding that Muslims should be aware of those issues that were open to disagreement and those that were not.
He charged Muslims to always be vanguard of peaceful co-existence as enjoined by Prophet Muhammed.
In his remarks, the Grand Kadi of Kwara State, Justice Idris Haroon, urged the Muslims to always intensify efforts towards good deeds and do away from any acts that could cause violence in the country.
He charged Muslims to make use of this month to seek for repentance, forgiveness and attain special spiritual status before Allah.
