Kwara Speaker charges civil servants on professionalism

Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has charged civil servants in the state to always demonstrate high level professionalism in the course of service.

This, Ahmad said would always improve the state civil service and at all times put them in good stead for promotion.

The Speaker, in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Shuaib Abdulkadir made the charge while congratulating the outgone Director of Information of the state House of Assembly, Elder Sunday Adeleke who retired from the state civil service after 35 years in service on Thursday.

He commended the retired director for his active and selfless service in the House of Assembly, which the Speaker said made the House one of the most reported in the country.

Ahmad stressed that he had always discharge his duties diligently and uses his vast experience in the field to ensure cordial relationship between the Assembly, media as well as the general public.

The Speaker who congratulated the outgone director for reaching the peak of his career and leaving the service without blemish prayed God to continue to be with him in retirement.

He also congratulated the newly appointed Director of Information, Alhaji Ayo Akanbi for his elevation, enjoining him to emulate his predecessor in office by building on his achievements.
