Health Tech Offa Holds Induction for Students

The department of Health Education of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa held its first induction ceremony for the graduating students.

At the ceremony was a gathering people of high personalities in academics and civil society. Two Permanent Commissioners in the state and their permanent secretaries with their Directors are in attendance.  These are the Honourable Commissioners of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Science and Technology, and Ministry of Health, Hajia Dr. (Mrs)  Amina S. Ahmed and Alhaji Atolagbe Alege respectively.  The Provost of the College and his Management team were also in attendance.

At the occasion, the speakers admonished the inductees to take advantage of the availability of Health Education Course in Universities.  They were advised to apply for direct entry into 200 levels of University to further their studies.  The importance and relevance of Health Education were also stressed at the Occasion.

The Occasion also witnessed award presentation of various dignitaries who have contributed immensely to the progress of the department and education in general. Among the awardees are: the Kwara State Commissioner of Ministry of Tertiary Education Science and Technology; Hajia Amina Susa’ad Ahmed; the Provost of the College, Mallam Aliyu Abdul - Raufu; Hon Issa Oladimeji Abdul-Wahab; Dr. Shehu Adaramaja – (UNILORIN); and Hon. Jimoh Akanni Abdul-Rahman (KSHA)

Students who have distinguished themselves academically and morally were also awarded for their exemplary performance.
