KWSG appeals to FG to commence construction of Ohan, Moro bridge

Date: 2016-10-10

The Kwara Government has appealed to the Federal Government to commence construction work on Ohan and Moro bridges along llorinlgbeti road to enhance economic activities in Kwara and neighbouring states.

The state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Aro Yahaya made the call when he inspected the two bridges under construction.

The Commissioner said that the two bridges which link Kwara and OkeOgun axis of Oyo state had been in bad shape for decades.

Yahaya said the poor condition of the two bridges is affecting the transportation of farm produce to the state capital and other economic activities, adding that the state government had partnered with the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in its bid to ensure that all federal roads in the state are motorable.
