The Federal Government has commended the management of the University of Ilorin for providing an enabling environment for the successful hosting of the 2nd National Youth Games.

The Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Chinyeaka Christian Ohaa, made the commendation at the Closing Ceremony of the Games.

Mr. Ohaa said that the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development had already set in motion collaborative arrangements with the University for the forthcoming 3rd edition of the National Youth Games that would also be staged at the University of Ilorin.

The Permanent Secretary said, "We convey our deep appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, for his kind gesture for hosting this National Youth Games and ensuring the outstanding success of the Games".
