Indolence: KWASSA GM reads riot act to staff

Date: 2016-08-29

General Manager, Kwara State Signage and Advertising Agency (KWASSA), Alhaji Hammeed Olufadi, has asked members of staff of the agency to cultivate the habit of punctuality and resume at their duty posts at stipulated time.

He warned that the agency would not tolerate any act of indolence and lateness to work.

A statement issued by Press Secretary of the agency, Abubakar Owolabi, said Olufadi stated this while addressing the staff during a meeting held in his office.

It quoted the GM as saying that the agency was set up with the statutory mandate of revenue generation for the state, and thus could not afford to fail in its responsibility.

The general manager, who introduced the new secretary of the agency to the staff at the meeting, explained that every staff was responsible to the office of the secretary as the chief administration officer of the agency.

He urged them to work hard for the betterment of the agency in particular and the state at large.

Speaking at the meeting, the new secretary, Mrs Olubiyo Ajide Funmilola, admonished the staff to abide by the civil service rules in their dealings so as to enhance the productivity of the agency in the quest to meet the revenue target.

She asked them to always report at their duty posts by 8:00 a:m and close by 4:00 p:m, adding that reward awaited hard work.

Funmilola, advocated mutual understanding among the staff, management and even the general public (clients) whenever the agency was collecting revenue.

The new scribe therefore promised to operate an open door policy in addressing the needs and welfare of the staff in line with the state civil service rules.

Advising the agency's consultant and Kwara State Internal Revenue Service and others, the secretary said every member of the organisation should work for progress and development of the agency.
