The Speaker who congratulated Muslims worldwide for the commencement of Ramadan, admonished them to use the holy month to further move closer to Allah and seek for His forgiveness.

In a Ramadan message issued by his Media Aide, Shuaib Abdulkadir .Ahmad charged Muslims to take advantage of the sacred month to pray fervently for absolute peace to reign in the country.

Ahmad who admonished them to observe the fasting according to dictates of Allah, further charged Muslims to always emulate the virtues and qualities of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

He also challenged philanthropists and affluent ones in the society to assist the needy in their various environments particularly in the month with a view to ameliorating their sufferings.

He however ,prayed for Nigeria to surmount the present socio-economic and security challenges facing the country, noting that with the support and maximum cooperation, the present administration has the wherewithal to take the nation out of its myriads of problems confronting it.
