Malete Youth Forum Workers: KWSG clears eight months salary arrears

Date: 2016-03-16

As part of his effort to bring succor to the people, the Kwara state Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has, inspite of the dwindling financial status of the state paid the casual workers of Malete Youth Farm the eight months outstanding salaries covering from May to December,2015.

The special Adviser on Agriculture, Honourable Anu Ibiwoye who supervised the payment said the Governor has given priority to the plight of the workers inspite of the dwindling resources of the state.

He encouraged the workers to be focused and stay committed to their work as the state government can no longer continue to justify payments of salary to any category of workers who are not doing anything at work.

In his words, one Mallam Aremu Soliu who was interviewed thanked the State Government and prayed for his successful tenure. He also expressed his gratitude to the S.A for his commitment and hard work in ensuring that they are being paid ~II their arrears.

Also speaking, after receiving his outstanding salaries, Mr John Oladipo, a field officer also expressed his gratitude to the State Government and particularly the S.A Agric,Hon.Ibiwoye stating that 'He is a man of his words'.
