Date: 2016-03-07

It was an atmosphere rich in testimonies of Saraki's positive impacts and humanitarian services today when members of Voluntary group known as Voluntary Sensitization Committee, led by Alhaji Ali Olola, which advocates and spreads the importance of Senate Presidency as a blessing From the most high to Kwara, met with market men and women leaders in Ilorin Emirate Council at their Secretariat along Sawmill Garage, Ilorin today as converged by the Babaloja-General and Iyaloja-General of Kwara State, Alhaji Tunde Jimoh Agaka and Alhaja Adenike Abdulkareem Lambe respectively.

Olola asked, should Saraki resigns today, will the highly cherished position be given to any of their uncles, brothers, fathers or any other Kwaran? The traders answered with capital NO at full tilt.

Speaking during the Sensitization session, a member of the group and state Woman Leader of APC in Kwara State, Alhaja Saarat Adebayo also disclosed that the motive of the sensitization committee is not political but objective. She said without gainsaying the fact that God has used the Senate President Bukola Saraki to influence and facilitate many things which include human capacity developments in terms of employment, empowerment, scholarship from federal government, injection of federal Roads in Kwara into budget, electrification and water projects and so on, even at his trying time. She spoke on the trial of Senator Saraki as a purely political arrangement which can be easily sensed by the many procedural errors with which it was plagued. She emphasised further that Saraki has declared his assets three times in the past, that hounding him with the pre-planned trial, at a time he ascended the position of number three citizen of the country against the will of some cabals in his party is not Prosecution but persecution.

Also, one of the volunteers, Alhaja Risikat Abdullahi went further by avowing the love of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki for the market men and women by refreshing the memory on how Dr. Saraki built some ultra modern markets like Mandate Market, old and new Agor Market, restructured Oja-Oba Market, built Abattoir spots at Ipata Market and Shao Garage and so on while serving as Governor and how he singlehandedly rebuilt the recently burnt Oja-Tuntun Market which is due for Commissioning tomorrow Monday 6th March, 2016. She maintained that Philanthropic gestures of this magnitude is what the irresponsible and irresponsive billionaires in the opposition party in the state can not Uphold, yet the claim they are the freedom fighters.

Conclusively, market Leaders in attendance led by Iyaloja-General and Babaloja-General of Kwara State gave testimonies of some of the viable hallmarks of Sen. Bukola Saraki and Kwara state governments in their respective markets and asked for more pro-market projects to make trading easy for them and position Kwara State in its first class status in the global consideration. They also promised to adhere strictly to tax terms of Kwara State Government while praying for the success of Sen. Bukola Saraki and Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed but urged government to ensure right usage of the tax payers' monies. Alhaja Saarat Adebayo while responding to their questions and requests, told the traders that the entire Committee members were overwhelmed by the testimonies of Saraki's philanthropic gestures and assured them that as influential volunteers, they will fully utilize their influences in ensuring the feedback from the meeting gets to the appropriate quarters for possible solutions to their needs and areas upon which they want the Government to improve.
