Kwara Assembly seeks questions for commissioner nominees

Date: 2015-11-05

The Kwara State House of Assembly yesterday called on the people of the state to submit petitions or questions they may have for the commissioner nominees ahead of a screening exercise next week.

The House has also confirmed the receipt of additional nine names of commissioner-nominees forwarded to it for screening and confirmation by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed.

Reading the names at plenary, Speaker Ali Ahmad, who was represented by the Deputy Speaker, Hon Matthew Okedare, said the House would do a thorough job to ensure that the nominees are properly screened? in order to prepare them for the task ahead.

"We urge the general public to submit their petitions and questions to ?the House before the screening which is fixed for Tuesday 10th November," he said.
