Oloyede Emphasises Importance of In-House Trainings
The Vice chancellor of the University of Ilorin Professor Is-haq Oloyede has emphasized the importance of in-house trainings for members of staff of the University of Ilorin.
Professor Oloyede stated this at a workshop organized for members of staff of the University of Ilorin 0rganised by Centre for Research, Development and In-House Training (CREDIT).
Professor Oloyede advised that the training should be made evident in the Staff's daily activities.
The Vice chancellor who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research Training and Innovation, Professor Yissa Fakunle said the training should be combined with effective communication and technology for continuous self-improvement and to speed up transformation in the Institution.
He advised that the training should not be looked down upon by Staff as it is not inferior to the training that could be gotten outside the University.
The Director of the Centre for Research, Development and In-House Training (CREDIT), Prof. Temidayo Oladiji in her welcome address said the purpose of the Centre is to promote excellence in research development and in-house training in order to enhance optimum performance for the University's Staff and Students to attain a world class status.
Profeessor Oladiji said the workshop is aimed at making the staff have a direct contribution towards the University's competitiveness and academic excellence, research, training and outreach endeavors.
The Director of CREDIT said the workshop is to improve Staff performance on the job to improve institutional performance and global rating.
Among the resource persons at the work shop are the Registrar, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Dr Josephine Oyebanji, Prof. Luke Ayorinde of the department of Animal Production, Dr. Kolade Ernest, an Associate Professor of Child Health and Honorary Consultant Pediatrician, Prof. Olugbenga Mokuolu, the Director of Centre for International Education among others.
