Following successful completion of con­sultations on the proposed tariff review, management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC, yester­day said it will hold a cus­tomer forum where it will present new tariff.

It would be recalled that IBEDC, in compli­ance with the directive of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, had held stake­holders' meetings across states under its coverage, where the propose tariff was discussed with cus­tomers.

According to a state­ment issued in Osogbo by the Osun Regional Com­munication and Branding officer of IBEDC, Kike­lomo Owoeye, the presen­tation of the report of the stakeholders' meetings will be done on Tuesday.

The statement reads: "The presentation is se­quel to the Tariff Review Public Consultative Fo­rum recently held in all the IBEDC's regions in Oyo, Ogun, Osun and Kwara states on Tuesday 8th, September, 2015 as directed by Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Com­mission, NERC.

"IBEDC hereby invites all her esteemed custom­ers to this forum holding in Ibadan to enable them have first hand informa­tion about the proposed new tariff structures as presented by IBEDC to the NERC for approval."

The spokesperson then reiterated the commit­ment of the company to ensure that no customer is shortchanged in the new tariff plan, stressing that the review was borne out of the need for appro­priate pricing of power for mutual benefits.
