NYSC Corps members bring relief to Kwara school 0 BY OUR REPORTER ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2015 EDUCATION REVIEW By Ifedioranma Umahi Relief came to distressed LGUBEA Primary School Shayo, Share in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State as corps members serving in the area recently donated sets of class room chairs for pupils use. The corps members under the aegis of Charity Services and Gender Group said it was a response to the need of the school. They said donating the sets of chairs serves as part of their community development initiative to better the lives of the host community. Speaking at the commissioning of the project, the president of the group, Mr. Laah Philemon Bainta, expressed joy for the realization of the project. "When pupils are not provided with such facility, it hampers their learning experiences and we cannot close our eyes to the needs of this future generation". He thanked the members of the group for their support", he said. The Headmistress of the school, Mrs. Zainab Yusuf, lauded the project as a good response by the corps members to meet the dire needs of the pupils. She said that chairs have been one of the challenges in the school for the pupils to learn in a conducive environment and expressed happiness that corps members have come to the aid of the school. She further called on other good spirited individuals and groups to take a cue and give back to the society in order to build the nation. Also responding, the Assistant Headmistresses, Mrs. Abdulsalam Bilkis, thanked the corps members for putting smiles on the faces of both the staff and pupils and enjoined them to continue to be worthy ambassadors of their various states. She encouraged the corps members not to relent in the service to their nation despite the economic crunch and unemployment surge in the nation. She promised that the donated chairs would be properly used and maintained.
