The Governor said the late Sheikh was an audacious missioner, scholar of international repute and humanist per excellence.

"Alhaji Oniwasi Agbaye was an easy going person who begrudged no one, even in his missionary activities. The people of Kwara State, and indeed Nigerians, will miss the deep eclectic preaching of late Sheikh Abdulraheem Aminulahi Agbaye", the governor said.
