Kwara CNPP lauds Kwara govt’s development strides

Congress of Nigerian Political Parties (CNPP) in Kwara State has commended the development programmes of the PDP-led administration in its one year of governance.

Speaking with Community News in Ilorin on Tuesday, the chairman of the CNPP, Alhaji Zakari Mohammed, said the present government had tried to touch people’s lives, adding that there was still room for improvement.

Alhaji Mohammed, who said the administration had spread development to all parts of the state, added that it should improve on job creation, water supply and road construction.

The CNPP, which congratulated Governor Ahmed on his first year in office, canvassed support for the governor, saying, “it is our candid opinion that all forces should rally around our governor so that he would be able to leave a lasting legacy in the state.

In the area of education, he said the state government had renovated more than 150 primary and secondary schools, adding that many schools were being constructed and renovated at different levels of post primary education in the state.

He also commended the state government on road construction and rehabilitation of rural roads, adding that the roads jad helped to open up rural areas for easy movement of people, goods and services that had ensured socio-economic development of the state.

He also said that the governor had empowered people through disbursement of loans to encourage small and medium scale entrepreneural activities.   

Alhaji Mohammed also said that the rural and urban electrification projects of the present administration had helped transformation of the state’s economy and security, adding that transformers were supplied to rural parts of the state to boost power supply.
