Baraje made the call in his Ramadan message to Nigerians. He felicitated with the entire Muslim Ummah for witnessing another Ramadan season.

Baraje enjoined Nigerian Muslims to use the period to seek God's divine intervention and pray fervently for the progress of the country. He urged members of Boko-Haram sect and those perpetrating violence and destruction in the name of Islam all over the World to refrain from tarnishing the image of the religion.

Baraje who is the founder of Baraje Centre for Arabic Studies, Ilorin implored Muslims to seek maximum benefits from the Ramadan period by giving alms to the needy,concentrate on the worship of Allah and being helpful to all manner of people as taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

The APC Chieftain commended Muslims for ensuring uniformity in the commencement of this year's Ramadan fast, which he noted has demonstrated unity among Muslim Ummah all over the World.
