Sunshine Stars plot Kwara United fall
Nigeria Premier League leaders, Sunshine Stars have vowed not to spare Kwara United in Wednesday's Week Nine Nigeria Premier League encounter billed for the Akure Township Stadium.
Kennedy Boboye's men forced hosts Nasarawa United to a 1-1 draw in their last out in Lafia while the Ilorin based outfit's game against Warri Wolves was postponed owing to the later's involvement in the Caf Confederation Cup.
Media officer of the team Wahab Bankole said the team is well motivated to secure maximum points after bias officiating hindered them from securing a win against the Solid Miners.
"We are really set for the match while the players on their own part are well motivated to pick the vital points," Bankole told Goal.
"On the fair officiating suffered in Lafia, we have forgotten about that and our focus is how to remain atop the Nigeria Premier League and also continue with the winning spirit.
"The president of the team, Akin Akinbobola on his own part has set huge financial rewards for the players should they keep the momentum against Kwara United," he concluded.
Sunshine Star who have not dropped any point from home lead the NPFL table with 17 points from nine games while the Afonja lords are ranked 11th with 11 points from eight games.
