Saraki Might Sue Over Jonathan "Love-Triangle" Doccie
SENATOR Bukola Saraki, representing Kwara Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has denied any involvement in the production of a documentary alleging a love triangle involving President Goodluck Jonathan, the First Lady and a minister.
"The attention of the media office of Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has been drawn to a purported allegation by People's Democratic Party that Senator Bukola Saraki who is one of the leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) and a crusader of change in Nigeria is sponsoring a "Dirty Love Triangle between President Jonathan, Patience and (Petroleum Resources Minister) Deiziani Alison-Madueke," his spokeman, Bamikole Omishore, said.
"Senator Saraki will like to state categorically without any iota of doubt that he is not aware of or knowledge of any love triangle between the President and the two women in question and therefore has not been, and will not be involved in anyway, manner, guise or process of commissioning of such documentary," Omishore added.
Omishore added that the lawmaker had always centered all his argument on fundamental issues that affected the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
"Such issues include but not limited to unemployment, mismanagement of public funds, and non-implementation of the budgetary provisions just to name a few./p>"These are the things that affect Nigerians and as a Senator of the Federal Republic these are the issues Nigerians want their representatives to debate and not the private affairs of the President."
He thus warned those "scheming to carry out this false documentary" on him that he will fight back and legally defend himself."
"We further warn those in glass houses whose past, particularly as regards their private lives are not honorable should steer clear forthwith or find themselves to blame./p>
"We have restrained ourselves not because we don't have the capacity but because we have pledged that this election will be about issues and nothing else."
