I won't step down for Jonathan or Buhari - ACPN presidential candidate
Presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Alhaji Gani Galadima, has denied being sponsored for the presidential race insisting that he is running to provide quality leadership in the country.
The presidential candidate also pledged to remain committed to his ambition of becoming president saying he would not step down for any of the presidential candidates of the other political parties.
Speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, Kwara State after a special prayer organised for him by Fagba community in the state, the ACPN candidate raised alarm over the rising rate of unemployment in the country which he described as a time bomb waiting to explode.
He said his joining the presidential race was to provide humanitarian services for Nigerians and salvage the country from the clutches of corrupt leadership. The ACPN presidential candidate advised other candidates to see the post as a call to service which can only be achieved through God's wish and called on his supporters to respect the peace accord signed in Abuja recently.
He said: "As far as we are concerned in the ACPN, the greatest challenge facing this country today is unemployment - youth unemployment - joblessness. There are millions of jobless youths. You know an idle mind is a devil's workshop and a hungry man is an angry man. What we want to put on the table for Nigerians is job. Our party wants to look at all cognitive areas to creating jobs for the Nigerian youths. That is what our party is committed to."
