President General of Orisun Igbomina, Chief Gbenga Awoyale, has challenged the Kwara State Government to explain the rationale behind not paying workers' salaries despite the extravaganza demonstrated during the declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for second term last week.

Chief Awoyale in a statement issued in Ilorin said the leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, has failed Kwarans in totality and further demonstrated yet another non-challant attitude to the welfare of Kwara workers.

The Igbomina chieftain also expressed dismay over what he described as an act of infringing on the right to life by Kwarans stressing that such attitude is barbaric, condemnable and ungodly to the entire people of the state.

Chief Awoyale however commended Nigeria's First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, for distributing empowerment materials to the people of Kwara State through her pet project, Women for Change Initiative and Development to further relief them of their hardship.

He therefore called the people of the state especially civil servants to rise to the challenge of the fact it is only the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, that can bring the desired growth and development in the state urging them to continue to support the party ahead of the 2015 general election.
