Kwara Utd sure of promotion
Kwara United striker, Hammed Jimoh has vowed that the Warriors would do their best to get promotion ticket this term into the Glo Premier League.
Kwara United's return to the top flight is dicey at present, as the Afonja Warriors would need four points from their remaining two games this term in the Nigeria's second tier to have any chance of promotion.
Hammed, 19, has been in excellent form since joining Kwara United this mid-season, and he said to supersport.com that it would be disastrous for the Warriors to miss the Premier league ticket this term.
"We still have hope of making it to the Premier league, and all of us (players) have concluded that we would fight with our blood to make sure that we get the promotion ticket.
"We understand the feelings of all our fans, and I want to assure them that we would laugh last on the last day of the season," the lanky striker told supersport.com
Kwara United will face already relegated TEAP FC this Saturday at the Kwara State Stadium in their NNL week 29 duel, and Hammed who has netted twice for Kwara United since joining them in mid-season is looking forward to add to his tally.
"It would be great to get one or two goals against TEAP tomorrow (Saturday), but what is important is for us to get the maximum points," Hammed said to supersport.com
Kwara United, at present, sit second on the NNL Group A Standings with 46 points, and the Afonja Warriors will travel to Kaduna next weekend to face another Premier league seekers, Ranchers Bees for their final duel of the season.
