Governor Saraki commiserates with Alafin of Oyo

The Kwara State Governor Dr Abubakar  Bukola Saraki  (CON) has commiserated with His Royal Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, over the death of his eldest daughter, Princess Akofade Adeyemi.

In a condolence message to the Monarch, the governor said the death of the Princess was a great lost not only to the people of Oyo state and the Royal Family but the entire  country as whole  in view of her contributions to both Socio-Economic and Political development of her people.

Dr Saraki, who described the demise of the late princess as a sad one, counsel the Monarch to accept it as an act of God, noting that death was inevitable to all mortals and it will come when it’s destined.

He enjoined   the family and all those he left behind to take solace in the fact that the deceased was a role model among her peers and led a fulfilled life worthy of emulation.

He prayed to Allah to grant the repose of the deceased Al-Janat  Fridauz, the children and family he left behind the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

The late Oyo Princess died on Saturday, October 23rd at the age of 50yrs, after a brief illness, at the University College, Ibadan.
