'BOI created 1M jobs'

The Managing Director of Bank of Industry, Mr. Rasheed Olaoluwa, says the bank has so far financed 2000 development projects over the years amounting to a total of N692bn in loans.

In the process, the bank which is the leading development finance institution in the country, has created over one million jobs, Olaoluwa also disclosed.

He made the disclosures in Ilorin, Kwara State, during a visit of Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Olusegun Aganga, to Kam Industries Nigeria Limited to assess the company’s new cold rolling project.

Bank of Industry is one of the financiers of the project.

The MD stressed that the process of accessing loan in the bank is very simple, adding that the bank had over the years been able to impact on several businesses and created massive jobs in the country.
