Kwara Speaker, others condole with Kamaldeen family
The people of Kwara State and the Ilorin Emirate in particular have continued mourning the third Mufti of Ilorin, Sheikh Shufiullahi Kamaldeen Al Adaby, who died on Monday in Ilorin.
The death of the spiritual leader has been described as a loss to the country.
Sheikh Kamaldeen Al Adaby, who died aged 88, was installed as the third Mufti of Ilorin on December 13, 2012 by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari.
Speaking during his condolence visit to the family of the cleric, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Honourable Razak Atunwa, in company with the Director General, Abubakar Bukola Saraki Mandate Office, Mr Musa Yeketi; Commissioner Three in the state Civil Service Commission, Alhaji Isiaka Labaika and Special Assistant on SUBEB, Alhaji Abdul Rahman, noted that the Mufti used his endowment for the benefit of mankind and the propagation of Islam.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to take solace in the fact that the Mufti lived a life worthy of emulation by all and sundry.
Responding, the spokesman of the family and one-time Commissioner for Education in the State, Alhaji Olayiwola Kamaldeen, expressed gratitude Atunwa for identifying with the Kamaldeen family in their trying period.
He urged the speaker to continue to make the legislative arm of government a platform for the accelerated development of the state.
