Kwara School of Midwifery Commences in October
The School of Midwifery, Oke-Ode in Kwara State is to commence its academic year by October, 2014.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tertiary Institution, Science and Technology, Alhaji Jibril Haruna disclosed this to newsmen in Ilorin.
Haruna said the state government is committed to ensuring a smooth take off of the institution to provide more midwives and nurses in the state.
He noted that both equipment and personnel were already on ground for the take off of the school, as its programmes had been accredited.
On entrepreneurship, the Permanent Secretary stated that the approval was sought from the state government last year to upgrade some facilities at the state College of Education, IIorin to render the service.
According to him, the essence of the entrepreneurship centres in the state institutions is for the acquisition of skills, to make graduates job creators and not job seekers.
