Date: 2014-01-24

Unilorin campus, last Friday, was literarily thrown on fire as the students' union of the university held its annual "bornfire" night.

The audiences that cut across students from different faculties of the institution were treated to a very animating experience.  The fateful evening which took place at the main pavilion of the students' union building, featured many exciting programmes to the delight of the ecstatic crowd.

Highlights of the activities taken place were musical performances, acrobatic display, comedy show and choreography, among other exciting programmes.

Anchored by the popular "student cum comedian" Oyas, this year's edition of the show had Lolli pop as the DJ and the likes of MC Peperempe and Samo Baba performing alongside other budding talents of the Nigerian entertainment industry. The fun-filled show was spiced with music as many student artistes, thrilled the excited audience with their electrifying performance.

"This year's event has really signified an improvement on the social life of the university campus" Adeyemi Nurudeen, a 300 level student at the law faculty, Unilorin said. For Katibi Abdulwahab, a 300 level student of agriculture, the memory of this year's edition will continue to linger in his memory, because of the unprecedented patronage it recorded. In the opinion of Iyanda Niniola, a 200 law student, the organizers have really done well in making the epoch-making event an exhilarating one.  Ridwan Rasaq, a 200 level student of Arabic, described the show as a night of fun.

In her vote of thanks, the secretary of the students' union social committee, Anifowoshe Titilope thanked the students, while reiterating on the students' union commitment to improve the social activities on campus.
