The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has deployed 300 personnel and stationed four ambulances to ensure accident-free Christmas and New Year celebrations in Kwara State.

The state commandant, Mrs. Mary Wakawa, who disclosed this in Ilorin said the personnel have mobilised to all 16 local government areas of the state. She said the ambulances are stationed with clinics in Jebba, Oloru, Offa, Omun-Aran and along Airport road in Ilorin.

Wakawa expressed gratitude to God for the drastic reduction in road accidents in the state when compared with the number for last year. She advised motorists to dial 122 or 070022553772 in case of any emergency situation in any part of the state and cautioned against over speeding, over loading and disobedience to traffic laws, adding that the Commission would not hesitate to deal with any motorist found disregarding traffic laws during and after the festive period.
