Face insecurity, ASUU, aviation crisis not Confab, Kwara Speaker tells Jonathan
The Speaker who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin said the idea of National Conference was ill conceived at this period of time while Boko Haram insurgent are wrecking havoc on the nation and political campaigns are approaching.
Instead, the Speaker suggested that all efforts and energy of the President should be concentrated on tackling insurgents and economy crises.
On the alleged scandal rocking Ministry of Aviation and its Minister, Princess Stella Oduah, Atunwa urged the Minister to resign her appointment in order to stop attracting unnecessary diversion as a result of different criticisms received on the alleged N225 million bullet proof cars bought by her Ministry from Nigerians.
He explained that the embattled Minister was prevented from signing a deal at Israel by President Goodluck Jonathan, saying "the honourable thing for her is to go. The best thing for her to do is to leave because she can't do the job".
He added that it was unfortunate that Ministry of Aviation could afford N225 million while ASUU demands could not be met.
