NLC Describes Kwara Govt. As Workers-Friendly
The Chairman of the NLC in Kwara, Mr Farouq Akanbi, has described the Abdulfatah Ahmed administration in the state as workers-friendly.
Akanbi told the newsmen in Ilorin on Friday that the state government was striving hard to boost the welfare of workers.
"The present administration is on the right track for as you can see from inception; it donated the NLC building in Ilorin," he said.
Akanbi, who recalled the past struggles of the NLC in the agitation for the rights of workers, expressed optimism that more opportunities would be available with the advent of the Ahmed administration.
Commending the governor for running an "all-inclusive government which associated with workers," Akanbi, however, urged the administration not to renege on its promise of fully implementing the N18, 000 minimum wage.
