The Foundation, in a statement issued by its National Secretary, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona, described it as a good omen for the growth of religious education in the state.

The governor had appointed Dr. Oba-Solagberu, Chairman (Ilorin-West) Alhaji Maisuna Yahya, Secretary (Ilorin East), Mallam Ally Bello, (Isin), Mallam Armiyahu Lukman, (Ilorin-South), Mallam Yusuf Sulaiman Al Gamawiy, (Ifelodun), Mallam Fatai Mohammed Jamiu, (Moro), and Mallam Yaqub Abdullah from Edu local area of the state.

The statement noted that Dr. Solagberu is a seasoned Islamic scholar of international repute, whose wealth of experience in the field of Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as his global connection will no doubt assist the newly established Board tremendously in the achievement of its goals.

The foundation however described.
