Alimi Foundation lauds Gov Ahmed on Arabic Board
The Foundation, in a statement issued by its National Secretary, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona, described it as a good omen for the growth of religious education in the state.
The governor had appointed Dr. Oba-Solagberu, Chairman (Ilorin-West) Alhaji Maisuna Yahya, Secretary (Ilorin East), Mallam Ally Bello, (Isin), Mallam Armiyahu Lukman, (Ilorin-South), Mallam Yusuf Sulaiman Al Gamawiy, (Ifelodun), Mallam Fatai Mohammed Jamiu, (Moro), and Mallam Yaqub Abdullah from Edu local area of the state.
The statement noted that Dr. Solagberu is a seasoned Islamic scholar of international repute, whose wealth of experience in the field of Arabic and Islamic Studies as well as his global connection will no doubt assist the newly established Board tremendously in the achievement of its goals.
The foundation however described. Solagberu who is also the National President of Sheu Alimi Islamic Foundation and Founder of Darul Kitab Wassunnah College of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Ilorin as a philanthropist per excellence who has been playing positive roles in the lives of the less privileged by facilitating foreign scholarships for over 21 years.
The Foundation thanked the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator Bukola Saraki as well as the entire members of the Kwara state House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Barrister Razak Atunwa, for their painstaking strides towards ensuring that the Arabic Board Bill gets their endorsement.
The Foundation also congratulated the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari and other traditional rulers in the state over the establishment of the board and expressed its optimism that the newly appointed Chairman and his team would justify the confidence reposed in them.
It charged all Islamic clerics across the state to support the board in its programmes.
