ASUU strike: Affected Kwara students invited for bursary awards

Indigenes of Kwara State in North West Zone of the Country who are yet to receive their 2011/2012 Bursary Award due to the ongoing ASUU strike have been adviced to report to the Kwara State Scholarship Board as from Thursday 25th of July 2013.

The Chairman the Board, Hon. Isiaka Mogaji, disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Ilorin, on the activities of the Board on the second phase of Bursary payment to indigenes of Kwara State in tertiary institution across the country.

A release signed by the Press Secretary of the Board, Mallam Olalekan Issa-Onilu, explained that the Board has traveled to far away north for the payment which includes Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria and Usman Danfodio University (UDU), Sokoto.

The statement called on the affected students of the above listed institutions whose names appear on the lists sent from their various institutions to come to the Board with evidence of Citizenship on 25th or 26th July 2013.

The chairman expressed satisfaction on the bursary disbursement so far, promising that he would not disappoint the public on the exercise to make Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed’s goal of improving students welfare realized.
