NEMA presents relief materials to kwara communal clash victims

 The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Tuesday presented relief materials to victims of the Offa and Erin-IIe communal clash in Kwara

The materials were presented to the Kwara Government in IIorin by Mr Ishaya Chonoko, the agency's Head of Operations in Abuja, on behalf of the Director-General, Alhaji Abubakar Sidi.

The  materials include roofing sheets, cements, blankets, palm oil, planks, nails and other building materials.

Others are guinea-corn, maize, rice, beans, plastics and clothing  materials.

The materials were received by Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency and Relief Services.

Chonoko said the materials were meant to complement the efforts of the state government.

Abdullahi expressed the state government's gratitude to the Federal Government for the assistance.

Abdullahi, who immediately presented the materials to the administrators of Offa and Oyun Local Governments, said the materials would further cushion the effects of the clash on the victims. (NAN)
