Kwara United striker Adamu Yahaya's double wrecked the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Sunday in a Week 19 match of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) played at the Ilorin Township Stadium.

Yahaya opened scoring in the 45th minute of the game before he banged in the second goal in the 67th minute with a header.

Kwara United were the better side as they outshone the Oluyole Warriors from the beginning to the end of the match.

3SC's only chance was wasted by off-form Osagona Ighodalor while Gbolahan Salami was tamed by the  Kwara United defence.

Speaking, Kwara United coach Samson Unuanel said his club's victory can only be attributed to determination and hard work.

"We don't have any secret but hard work, dedication with the support of the state government and the fans too have been wonderful.

3SC's head coach Akeem Busari said his side was just unfortunate to lose Sunday's match as his boys played a good game.

"We played a good game but luck was not on our side," Busari said.
