Ghastly accident at Police Road

An out-of-control truck ran into shops on Police Road this afternoon. The truck which was hauling cement lost control when the driver tried to negotiate the junction of Onikanga/Police Road. Fortunately no fatalities were recorded but not less than three people were injured. Two of the injured are shop owners and are receiving treatment at University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, UITH.

An accident occurred at the same spot last Monday. A car ran into a shop, which fortunately was empty at that time.
