The Kwara State Polytechnics, Ilorin may expell  students over  indecent dressing on the school campuses
The school Rector, Alhaji Mas'ud Elelu stated this on Tuesday during a 'road show' organised by the institution on the school dress code at its permanent site
The rector,who was represented by the Deputy Rector,administration Dr Funsho Bello said the' road show' was to educate the students more on the importance of decent dressing to their academic career and their entire life
Bello also mention that the exercise was again to warn students against indecent dressing on the school campuses
According to the management,''a first time offender will be booked and counselled as appropriate and list of cautioned students to be forwarded to the registry.
"A second time offender will pay a fine of one thousand naira(N1000) only to a designated bank and to fill the offender's form.
"A third time offender will appear before the students' disciplinary committee and a proof of guilty will earn the affected student(s) one semester suspension.
"A harder offender,with a proof of intransigence will be recommended  to the polytechnic management for expulsion".
In an interview with the journalists during the campaign, the school Governing Council Chairman, Prof Sheu Jimoh said decent dressing by students control lots of respect and also show the students background.
Jimoh mentioned that dress code in the institution was not new in the  institutions' policy
He said the exercise is a means of bringing back those tradition,attitude and custom that our forfathers cherished.
