ABS coach, Kabir Dogo has said his side will maintain their dominance over city rivals, Kwara United when they play hosts this weekend.

Both sides will clash at the start of the 2012/2013 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season on Saturday at the Kwara State Stadium, llorin.

Dogo said his charges are eagerly waiting for the encounter to grab the maximum points and keep the record books intact.

“We thank God that the league is starting after several postponements. Kwara United are our big brother, we respect them but never afraid of them. It’s a local derby and all the trappings expected of such high profile encounter won’t be missing in action.

“History books favour us to win the encounter and we’re determined to maintain our superiority over them.

“We won’t negotiate with the three points at stake, we want to start the season big and with a convincing victory that will set us on the path of further victories.

“We’re battle ready for the encounter; the spirit among the players is very high, no injury worries. I’m fielding the best legs against Kwara United on Saturday and victory shall be ours,” he said to supersport.com.

ABS have been camping in Lokoja preparing for the commencement of the season and are expected in llorin in time for the season’s opener.
