Kwara Trains 50 Teachers in AI, STEAM and Digital Entrepreneurship to Boost Classroom Delivery
About 50 teachers in Kwara State have been trained in Digital Entrepreneurship, STEAM and artificial intelligence to strengthen curriculum delivery and equip students with globally relevant skills for emerging digital learning challenges.
The State Commissioner for Education, Dr Lawal Olohungbebe, stated that the initiative is designed to empower teachers with the necessary skills to effectively deliver the entrepreneurship curriculum and adapt to evolving global education demands through technology integration.
The Commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs Olanrewaju Bake, noted that the training would boost teachers' morale and enhance learning outcomes across public and private schools in the state.
In his remarks, the Chief Executive Officer of KwaraTech Academy, Mr Ayobami Oludele, commended the state government for its sustained efforts in reforming the education sector. He encouraged participants to take full advantage of the training to acquire skills that would drive societal development and impact.
Participants were exposed to the practical application of digital tools, entrepreneurship concepts, and STEAM methodologies aimed at enhancing teaching innovation and improving students' access to modern, technology-driven learning resources in classrooms.
The four-day programme, held in collaboration with Digital Innovation Schools Nigeria and the Tech2Grassroots Africa Pilot Programme, brought together public and private school teachers from different parts of the state.
