No Worker Will Be Left Behind - Kwara Assures Civil Servants on Salary, Pension Payments
The Kwara State Government has reiterated its commitment to the welfare of civil servants, assuring that ongoing issues regarding delays in salary and pension payments are being actively addressed.
The Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bola Olukoju, gave the assurance during a working visit to the Irepodun Local Government Secretariat in Omu-Aran.
She stated that the visit followed a directive for all executive cabinet members to monitor and support the collation and resolution of complaints related to salary and pension payments within each local government area.
Olukoju, alongside her team, supported efforts to resolve salary discrepancies and data irregularities, while engaging directly with affected staff to ensure a transparent and efficient process.
She reaffirmed the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration's unwavering commitment to timely salary payments and the overall welfare of public workers in the state.
"This exercise reflects the government's hands-on approach to resolving issues that affect our workforce. We understand the concerns of the affected, and we are doing everything possible to ensure these matters are resolved without further delay," she added.
Earlier, the chairman of Irepodun local government area, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakubu, had thanked Governor AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of civil servants across the state.
He acknowledged that the governor's people-focused policies have significantly boosted staff morale, enhanced productivity, and contributed to a healthier, more motivated workforce.
