Controversial Singer Portable Released on Bail After Petitioner Withdraws Case in Ilorin
Nigerian singer Badmus Abeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, was released on bail on Tuesday, according to DAILY POST.
Reports indicate that the controversial artist shaved off his signature multicoloured hair prior to his release. The development came after musician Saheed Osupa, who had travelled to Ilorin for legal proceedings, withdrew his petition against Portable, effectively halting the case."
Official sources at the Oke-Kura custodial centre in Ilorin, informed our correspondent that Portable was released 3:30 pm on Tuesday after a variation of his bail conditions by the authorities.
Two of his wives were with him at the time of his release by the prison authorities at the Oke-Kura custodial centre.
Sources further disclosed that he took his first meal on Tuesday morning, since his incarceration on Monday.
Portable was arrested on Saturday in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and brought to Ilorin by operatives of the Kwara State Police Command for alleged criminal intimidation, defamation and threat to life against Saheed Osupa.
