Kwara NUJ Celebrates Emir of Ilorin's 84th Birthday, Hails His Role in Promoting Peace
According to a report from Royal News, the Kwara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended warm felicitations to the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, on his 84th birthday. The union praised the Emir for his exemplary leadership, noting his dedication to fostering empathy and peace within the Ilorin Emirate.
In a statement issued in Ilorin and signed by the state Chairman, Abdullateef ‘Lanre, and the Assistant Secretary, Olayinka Alaya, the NUJ highlighted the Emir's remarkable efforts in promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among his subjects and non-natives alike.
The union commended the Emir's commitment to preserving the rich cultural heritage of the Emirate through various cultural renaissance-induced initiatives. It also acknowledged his role in the upliftment of Ilorin town, attributing the town's growth to his wise counsel and guidance.
The NUJ concluded its message by expressing prayers for the Emir's continued good health and long life, hoping for his earthly existence to be elongated by the Almighty Allah.

“No doubt, your reign on the revered throne of your forebear is with remarkable impact with load of accomplishments and testimonies that have continued to serve as reference”, the Kwara NUJ congratulatory message partly read.
