Kwara State Government Reiterates Commitment To Boosting Economy
The Kwara State Government, North Central Nigeria has again assured indigenes of its commitment to boosting the State Economy through regularization of internally generated revenue, to enhance further development across the State.
The State Commissioner, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, Yusuf Adelodun Damilola, stated this while receiving the Executive Chairman of Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KWIRS), Mrs. Shade Omoniyi in her office.
Damilola commended the the Chairman and her team for efficiency and expertise exhibited in driving revenue generation for the State.
The Commissioner noted that this administration is committed to providing meaningful livelihood for the entire citizens of Kwara State by providing them with social amenities, especially in the areas of quality health care services as well as creating enabling environment for potential Enterpreneur to thrive.
In her remarks, the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, appreciated the leadership of the Executive Chairman of KWIRS and her team for their selfless services to the the State, urging them not to relent, in the interest of all.
Earlier, the Executive Chairman, Kwara State Internal Revenue Service, Mrs. Shade Omoniyi, congratulated the newly appointed Commissioner, Damilola, as she affirmed that the Ministry has been in cordial relationship with KWIRS in driving the State economy, stressing the need to expand the revenue leg of the Ministry in order to improve the internally generated revenue in the State.
The Chairman urged the Ministry to constitute a Committee on the ease of driving the revenue, to recover Small and Medium Enterprise loan that has been on hold for a while.
Those at the meeting were the Director, Personnel, Finance and Supply, Mr. Tunde Thompson Amos and the Principal Officers of the Ministry.
