New Year: Baraje expresses optimism
According to him, the steps taken by the present administration with the subsidy Re-investment and Empowerment Programme and other employment opportunities would not only engage the youth in meaningful programmes but equally reduce tension in the land as well as curb the insurgence of crime and bombing.
Alhaji Baraje appealed to Nigerians to be patient and take President Goodluck Jonathan by his words that more dividends of democracy would be felt this year than the previous years.
The Former PDP boss noted that it was only in a peaceful environment that development could thrive and therefore urged Nigerians to cooperate with security operatives in fighting crime to the maximum by providing them with useful information about people with questionable character.
Alhaji Baraje also seized the opportunity to equally enjoin political leaders to guide against deceiving the electorate with fake political promises but rather tell their followers what they could afford so as not to face the wrath of God.
