Abdulrazaq Deploys Troops to Flush Criminals Out of Kwara Forest

Date: 2022-08-04

An aggressive combat operation to flush out criminal elements at the Ile Ire forest in Kwara State has begun, PRNigeria learnt.

This followed the recent mobilisation of troops of the Nigerian Army by the State Government to deal with suspected terrorists who have established camps at the forest, located in Ifelodun Local Government Area.

PRNigeria obtained images of troops combing the Ile Ire forest, and destroying some camps and hideouts of the criminals.

According to a senior Kwara State government official, who asked not to be named, the clearance operation will not end anytime soon, till the terrorist elements are chased out of the State.

He said: “This is an ongoing exercise, whereby the state government engages the security agencies, including the police, to prevent criminals from gaining any foothold in Kwara”.
