Kwara bizman's kidnap: Family raises N2m as abductors demand N30m

Abductors of Lukman Ibrahim, the young Offa entrepreneur whose pregnant wife was killed on Saturday by suspected gunmen, have requested N30m ransom from his family.

Close family sources told The PUNCH on Monday that the family of the late mobile phone accessories dealer had been contacted to make the available as soon as possible.

Lukman was kidnapped on Saturday while his wife, Hawawu, was killed by the hoodlums who attacked them on their way home along Ojoku Road few metres to a police station.

The family member, who spoke on the condition of anonymity on Monday, said that the Kidnappers had contacted the family demanding N30m, but lamented that only N2m had been raised.

He said, "They have asked the family to pay N30m ransom , but we have been only able to raise N2m which they rejected.

"We have already lost Hawawu who killed during the operation," he added.

He said that the family was making arrangement for the release of the Corpse of the dead woman from the hospital for burial.

The state police spokesperson, Ajayi Okasanmi, said that the command was working hard to get the victim rescued.
