Biffo Thanks Kwarans, Fans, Well Wishers, Promises To Do Well In NPFL Second Round

Date: 2021-04-06

Abdullahi Biffo who is the gaffer of NPFL leaders Kwara United has thanked Kwarans and all lovers of the club for the support and love shown during the first round of the NPFL season.

Kwara United finished their campaign in this season's NPFL first round with a 2-0 win over visiting Nasarawa United on Sunday in Ilorin.

The win did not come on a platter of gold as Kwara United players were made to fight hard for their lives before Ganda Samuel and Michael Ohanu's goals condemned the Solid Miners to painful defeat.

During the first 19 ties of the season, Abdullahi Biffo and his Warriors were able to win 10 games, drawn 6, and lost 3 in what remains a perfect result for Kwara United as they are still topping the League table with 36 points.

Biffo during the first stanza of the term, was also able to record emphatic three away wins thereby equaling Samson Unuanel's 3-game away win record at Kwara United.

While speaking with Kwara United Media, Biffo explained that the support from the management, people of Kwara, and fans of the club have been his wards' strength so far.

"I told my players before we started the game against Nasarawa United that the match will be a tough one for them because their opponents are very good.

"Thanks to God that we were able to beat them and get the three important points and I want to thank everyone who have been supporting us in one way or the other.

"The management of the club have been wonderful, kudos to the fans and supporters and I'm also thanking Governor Abdulrahman for his love for us at all time.

"Second round of the season will be tough for all the teams most especially we topping the table, but we will continue to do our best and make Kwarans proud at the end of the term," Biffo told Kwara United Media.

Meanwhile, Kwara United will have a one-week break before traveling to Lafia to face Nasarawa United in their match-day 20 encounters.

Morales of Kwara United players will be boosted ahead of this tie considering the fact that the Harmony Boys won in their last visit to Nasarawa.
