Kwara NBA wants Salami Reinstated
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Kwara state, Friday called on President Goodluck Jonathan to reinstate the suspended president of the Court of Appeal, Justice Ayo Salami without further delay in accordance with the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC).
The NBA chairman, Ilorin branch, Mr. Rafiu Balogun made the call on Friday in his address at the commencement of the 2012/2013 legal year of the state high court and special valedictory court session in honour of the retiring chief judge of the state, Justice Raliat Elelu Habeeb. He said that, "Jonathan could not have contrary opinion to the NJC’s and what the president ought to do in the circumstance is to reinstate Hon. Justice Salami as directed by NJC who actually called for His Lordship retirement and/or suspension the first place".
