A teenage girl, Dami (not real name), who disappeared mysteriously, last Tuesday, has been found in an uncompleted building, albeit in a debilitated condition.

The unconscious girl, 16, was stumbled upon last Thursday, by a passer-by at an uncompleted building situated behind Adeta Primary School, Ilorin, in the early hours of the fateful day.

The man was said to have raised the alarm, thereby attracting people to the scene. Some people in the area were said to have identified the girl and subsequently contacted her parents.

The parents reside at Manlelojo's Compaound, Idigba, Pakata area of Ilorin.

When newsmen visited the scene of the incident, the girl was seen supported on both sides by people as she could not sit upright and was unable to talk.

It was however discovered that the girl had been defiled as there were signs that she had been sexually assaulted.

Speaking to newsmen, the mother of the girl (names withheld), who was visibly shaking said her daughter got missing Tuesday evening when she was sent to fetch water from the next compound to theirs.

"She was sent to fetch water after the Tarawihi prayer and did not return. We looked for everywhere but couldn't find her. No one could say where she was. I have not been able to sleep since she got missing", she added.

The girl was later taken from the scene of the incident to an undisclosed hospital for mediacal attention.
