Mallam Badmus said the administrators at the local government councils should be able to decide on projects that would suit or benefit their environment and the people rather than states or federal government to decide on the type of projects that they should embark upon in their domains.

According to him, they should be allowed to enjoy the autonomy as entrenched in the constitution as the third tier of government but however, lamented that some caliber of people given the responsibility to administer the councils have little or no knowledge about administration.

The management consultant therefore cautioned against imposing candidates on the electorate during elections but rather, allow people to pick leaders of their choice.
