Kwara Polytechnic expels five students

The authorities of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, say they have expelled five students for committing various offences contrary to their matriculation oath. AbdulRahman Muhammad, the Assistant Registrar (Academic Affairs), made this known in a statement in Ilorin on Monday. Mr. Muhammad explained that their expulsion was sequel to the approval of the report of the Students' Disciplinary Committee and in accordance with Section 14.2 of the Students Regulations.

He identified the students as Murthado Olanrewaju, Elebiju Rotimi, Adam AbdulAzeez, Muhammed Habeeb, and Khalid Olamilekan. The institution also rusticated one Olutayo Oluwatobi Elizabeth while it withheld the result of Toluwaleke Gbenga Adeniyi.

Mr. Muhammad said all the affected students were to vacate the institution's campuses immediately and hand over all polytechnic property in their custody to their respective Heads of Department. (NAN)
